CCAD – Visiting Artists & Scholars Series

Just want to thank everyone at Columbus College of Art & Design for a terrific visit – it has been a real honor to see the work-in-progress in the graduate studios, talk with students, and get to share some of my own work and professional practices with an audience!

Big shout out to the Beeler Gallery, for their tremendous Alan Shields show – introducing me to an artist that I clearly should already be obsessed with – and to Curator Ian Ruffino for walking me through with his gentle and on-point insights.

Alan Shields: A Different Kind of Painting at the Beeler Gallery.

Special thanks to Director of Graduate Studies Ric Petry, for a warm reception, the unstoppable Assistant Director Molly Burke for all of her thoughtful support and assistance in coordinating details, and Laurenn McCubbin, without whom, nothing.

Hope to see you again soon, Columbus, and in the meantime, keep up the good work!

sounds like an energizing trip! I’ve been contemplating a road trip to see the Shields and the Stitch show, the gallery space looks amazing, too.
