Hands-on creation of labor-intensive art works that vary wildly in media and conceptual messaging is a critical piece of my ability to develop an understanding of the world. While outcomes can appear quite different, they are united by some recurring themes: reconciliation of objects as surrogates for emotional states, marginalized craft forms, evidence-gathering, fiber, photography, faith, emotional and intuitive proof, and eidetic memory. I believe things happen for a reason, and that includes ostensibly divergent modes of self-expression. We will figure this out together.
