Photography
Photography is my second language. Living in New York City, with the constraints imposed by the cost of working space, it was my main mode of artistic expression and a convenient way to interact with an overwhelming social environment at a safe distance. Although photography still moves me deeply, I have come to think of it as merely a primary process, creating my own visual stock that later figures into my web comics, maps, collage, and installation work. I draw from a pool of 20,000+ of my original images, exhaustively categorized so they may be deployed to “illustrate” my conceptual ideas.
Here are a few of my favorites, that stand well on their own.
